2019 CNIP Expansion – WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Programs
The California Department of Food and Agriculture’s Office of Farm to Fork is currently accepting proposals from qualified entities to distribute California Nutrition Incentive Program incentives to shoppers using benefits from the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) or Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) at Certified Farmers’ Markets, farm stands and community supported agriculture programs throughout California.
Incentives should be available to shoppers using WIC and Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program benefits to purchase California grown fresh fruits and vegetables. Participants should be able to receive the incentive at the time of purchase. Projects that reach underserved populations will be prioritized. This is a competitive process.
Deadline: January 31, 2020 at 5 pm PST.
