California Association of Food Banks

The California Association of Food Banks provides a unified voice for its 41 member food banks from throughout the state to help build a well-nourished California.

Farm to Family

Operated by the California Association of Food Banks, the Farm to Family program connects California farmers with food banks around the state. Generous growers and packers provide fresh fruits, vegetables and other surplus farm products to food banks, which in turn provide them to low-income people in need of food assistance. The program creates a win-win by helping farmers to dispose of surplus product and by providing fresh produce to low-income people who often have little or no access to fresh fruits and vegetables that are essential for good health.
